Quilted 75th

My grandma celebrates her 75th birthday this November, but we are having a camping family reunion Sept. long and having a surprise birthday party for her. Us grandchildren have been teaching our children five of them all aged between 2-6, four little songs, (I'm a little teapot, If you're happy & you know it, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, and of course Happy Birthday) to sing to her and my 15 year old son who plays guitar has been learning to play these songs. I think she'll just love it & of course we have other activities planned as well but I think the singing and guitar playing will be the icing on the cake.

Anyways I made this quilted card for her because she makes quilts for everyone who is born, graduating, getting married or any other major life change. I, of course being the favorite grandaughter, tee hee hee, have about 1-2 more quilts than all the others. I know she'll just love this card cuz of a) being home made, and b) cuz its a quilted card, which I found the tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers. I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out!!!!!

Recipe:
Paper- tempting turquoise, pumpkin orange, old olive CS, DSP is also from SU but, of course I cannot remember the name.
Flowers from Michaels
The sparkly brad is from CTMH
I used the scallop edge punch from SU
& I used the Don Juan cartridge to cut out the tag and the 75 and I used the swils & whirls cuttlebug embossing folder on the quilted part to give it some texture.

Challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut- Make a birthday card
Crazy 4 Challenges- Bingo- I chose a square card, embossing, and brads

A Few Christmas Cards

I have been asked to make a few cards for some family members that they want to buy to give to their friends for Christmas. I've been making a couple here and there so, of course I cannot exactly remember all the colors, papers, etc... but I'll try!

I used my cricut to cut out the snowman and embossed the kraft cs. the saying & dsp is from my stash. The inside reads "Happy Holidays"

Everything is from SU, the reindeer stamp is from a card kit I received a while back. The colors are baja breeze, real red, and I believe garden green.

The colors are garden green, baja breeze, real red & pretty in pink. The dsp is from SU and the stamp set is actually from Michaels. I used a Mojo Monday Sketch for this card as well.

Again the colors are garden green, baja breeze, & real red. The stamp image I received from a friend but I think its from Stamping Bella? After I colored the image, I added some flower soft to the tree to give it that Christmas tree prickly feel. It's kinda neat actually!

For this one, everything is from CTMH, the dsp, ink, & stamps. The inside reads "Merry Christmas"

I hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making them! If you like, then please comment and follow!

Thanks,
Melinda

Stamp & punch is curly labels from SU, "Chillin'" is from CTMH
Cricut Cartridge- From My Kitchen
I also used Old Olive ribbon & Brads from SU

Christmas Moose

My grandmother asked me to make her a dozen christmas cards to give to her friends, so here is one of them.

I am entering this card into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge:animal antics, and also in the Celebrate the Occasion Challenge which is to make a different shaped (other than square or rectangular) Christmas card. As well as Fantabulous Cricut; Outdoor Themed Card

Ingredients:
I used real red card stock, cut it out with my cricut using the Winter Woodland cartridge and embossed it with the snowflakes cuttlebug folder. SU Lace and Michaels flowers to add some extra prettiness. The stamp, I cannot remember where I got it from (I think Stamping Bella). You probably can't see it but I added some red stickles to the scarf and snowman's buttons, and white crushed velvet to the pom pom and band on the toque.

I hope you have as much fun looking and as I had creating! If you like please leave a comment!
